The magic lantern projector was first used in the 17th century and was in use up until the mid-20th century; it was later replaced by a more compact 35mm projector.
We have a decent collection of glass slides of important historical buildings in Delhi in general and Jama Masjid in particular. These slides were made between 1860 and 1910 for educational and entertainment purposes. We are projecting the image with a German-made Zeiss-ikon projector.
