Jama Masjid of Delhi, late 19th century.

April 19, 2024

This photograph was taken from the southeast of the mosque. The area from which this photograph was taken was considered one of the most historic parts of the Mughal city, Shahjahanabad. Sadly, most of the important historic buildings in this area were destroyed by the British during the aftermath of 1857.

Acquired from a dealer in France.

A recent addition to our collection.
